Common administrative codes:
| Code | Definition |
| ** (Missing Result) |
If you are unsure why you have a missing result, contact your subject coordinator. |
| EX (Exemption) |
When you have an exemption for a subject, this is often Advanced Standing (credit) for previous study.
|
| KN (Withdrawn late) |
If you withdraw from a subject after the 'Last withdraw without fail date' you may receive a KN grade (this counts as a fail). The 'Last withdraw without fail date' is usually around 4 weeks after census date – check the exact dates on the Census dates webpage.
|
| NRA (No Result Available) |
This code may mean that you:
|
| SAHA (Supplementary Additional Hurdle Assessment) result |
You have not passed the hurdle requirement of the subject. You will be given an extra assessment task. The details of the task and its due date will be emailed to your student email address. Completing this extra assessment gives you an opportunity to pass the subject.
|
| SAHE (Supplementary Additional Hurdle Exam) result | You will be given an opportunity to sit a Special Exam as you did not pass the exam hurdle requirement of the subject. The exam will run during the Special examination period. |
| SPA (Special Assessment) |
You did not successfully complete your assessment task and will be given an alternative assessment task. The details of the task and its due date will be emailed to your student email address.
|
| SPE (Special Exam) |
You will be given an opportunity to sit a Special Exam as you did not successfully complete your original exam. The exam will run during the Special examination period.
|
| V |
No result was recorded due to extenuating circumstances (applies to failed subjects due to grades in 2020 and 2021 (or in any non-standard teaching periods which concluded by 28th February 2022) as part of the COVID-19 response). Note: a V grade does not count towards your Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
|
| W (Withheld) result |
A Subject Co-ordinator may withhold a result for reasons such as:
If you are unsure why you have a withheld result, contact your subject coordinator. |
| WD (Withdrawn without academic penalty) | This code is used if you withdrew from a subject after Census Date (which means you are financially liable for the subject) but before the 'Last withdrawal without fail' date. |
| X |

|
