What are the Compulsory modules and do I need to do them?
For general information about a, including how to enrol, see:
Continue reading below for answers to common questions about results and grading for the compulsory modules.
AIM and Wominjeka modules will be planned on your study plan, and you should enrol in these in your first semester of your course commencement. The Respectful Behaviour and Culture Module won't be on your study plan but you will still need to enrol in it. You must complete the modules by the end of the teaching period that you are enrolled into or you will receive a result of NRA.
Note: postgraduate students are not required to complete the Wominjeka module.
How do I enrol in the AIM and Wominjeka modules?
You will need to enrol, along with your other compulsory subjects, through StudentOnLine:
1. Log in to StudentOnLine and enrol in the AIM subject (LTU0AIM) and Wominjeka subject (ABS0WOM)

How do I enrol in the Respectful Behaviour and Culture Module?
You will need to self-enrol in the module via your LMS.
- Click 2024-RPC8010 - Respectful Behaviour and Culture to locate the module in your LMS (or search 2024-RPC8010 in the search bar)
- Click 'enrol me' under the Student Self-Enrolment section
I received an 'NRA' result. What does that mean?
If you have received an NRA result for a compulsory module, it means that you were enrolled in the module but did not achieve a Pass grade by the end of the teaching period that you were enrolled in. You will need to enrol in the module again next semester and successfully complete it.
I completed the module and received the completion badge, so why do I still have an NRA on my transcript?
Like all subjects you are enrolled in, you are required to complete assessments by their deadline. So, even though you may have successfully completed the module, if you completed it after the end of the teaching period, you will receive an NRA grade.
You should enrol into the module again in the very next enrolment period/same year and your completed module result will get picked up during the next result release period. You do not need to redo the module in this case.

If you commenced your course mid-year, have completed the module/s in your first semester and have a badge please raise this with ASK La Trobe.
I completed the compulsory modules but they still appear on my Study Plan
It is likely that you did not complete the module within the teaching period you were enrolled in, if so you are required to enrol again for a current/upcoming teaching period.
I forgot to enrol in compulsory modules
You can enrol for the next teaching period. After successfully enrolling, the AIM and Wominjeka modules will usually appear in your LMS within 24 hours. The Respectful Behaviour and Culture Module will be available as soon as you enrol into it. You must complete the modules in the first year of your course commencement.
If you have forgotten how to enrol in StudentOnLine please see: Steps to enrolment in StudentOnLine FAQ.

What do I need to pass the compulsory modules?
To pass AIM you need to complete:
• all 4 parts,
• all 8 cases, and
• all 5 quizzes (you must score at least 80% for each quiz)
• all 4 parts,
• all 8 cases, and
• all 5 quizzes (you must score at least 80% for each quiz)
To pass Respectful Behaviour and Culture you need to complete all 7 modules, each with a module completion quiz. You must score 100% for each quiz, however you can retake the quizzes as many times you need.
To pass Wominjeka you need to achieve an overall score of at least 50% across the three assessed quizzes.
I got 100% in my quizzes, why did I only receive a P grade?
The compulsory modules are only graded as a Pass or NRA (no results achieved). As the modules do not have a weighted grade (no study load value) the P will not affect your weighted average mark.
I completed the modules but didn’t achieve the pass rate in one or more of the quizzes
This means you have not successfully completed the module. Go back into the module and re-attempt the quiz/quizzes (that you did not receive pass rate for). You can attempt the quizzes as many times as necessary.
I have completed one of the parts in a module but am unable to continue to the next
You can track your progress in a module by viewing the progress bar in the top right of the screen when you log in. You will need to successfully complete each part in turn (including the associated quiz) before moving onto the next section. Check again and make sure all the cases have been correctly answered and you have achieved the pass rate for the quiz in the part you are unable to move on from.
I successfully completed the modules but cannot see my completion badge on my LMS
It can take up to 24 hours after successfully completing the modules for your completion badge to appear on your LMS. If it still doesn’t appear after this time, go back into the module and check that you have successfully completed ALL requirements.
I successfully completed the modules within the teaching period but I can’t see my P grade on my academic transcript
Results for all subjects are processed at the end of the semester you are enrolled in, so your grade will usually appear on your transcript along with all of your other subject results.
When should I complete the compulsory modules?
You should complete the modules during your first semester and well before your first assessment. The AIM introduces you to the principles of academic integrity and the importance of being honest in the work you submit for assessment, so completing it earlier will help you stay informed about how to avoid plagiarism and academic misconduct.
I can’t find my class timetable for the compulsory modules
Compulsory modules are completed online, so there are no face-to-face classes that are scheduled or that you need to attend. You can complete these modules in your own time.
How long does it take to complete the compulsory modules?
It takes approximately 90-120 mins to complete AIM Respectful Behaviour and Culture and about 60 minutes to complete WOM.
I have just started a new degree, do I have to do these modules again?
If you passed the compulsory modules within the last four calendar years you can apply for advanced standing. If you undertook the modules over four years ago you will need to take the subjects again.
I am in my Honours year of my degree, do I have to do these modules again?
Technically, an honours program is considered to be a new degree, so this is why the compulsory modules may appear in your study plan. If you have already completed the modules as part of your Bachelor degree, you are able to apply for Advanced Standing.
I am a commencing student and would like to request an exemption from Respectful Behaviour and Culture due to past experiences of trauma. How can I do this?
Please send an email to respect@latrobe.edu.au with the heading ‘Module Exemption Request’ stating why you would like an exemption. Exemptions will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
