What can and should I bring to my room when I live on-campus?

You should bring:

  • bath towel/s
  • washing powder
  • laundry basket
  • clothes hangers
  • tea towels
  • dishes, cutlery and cooking equipment (pots,  pans and utensils)
  • electrical converters for international appliances

If you want you can bring:

  • a bar fridge for your room
  • items to decorate your room
Note: decorations must not damage the wall or the paintwork. Make sure that your items can be stuck to the walls using 'blu-tack' or similar non marking adhesive.
  • a printer
Note: printing services are available to residents in the common rooms, computer labs and in the library. Only some printers are free to use.
  • sandwich makers, microwaves, toasters etc.

Note: All electrical items must be 'tested and tagged'. Electric cooking appliances must only be used in the common kitchen areas.
