What are the possible outcomes of a successful application for Special Consideration?
If your application is eligible your subject coordinator will decide on what outcome (or accommodation), if any, will be made for your assessment. An outcome may be one of the following:
Outcome |
What the outcome means |
| Extension of an assessment task due date | You will receive an extension for the assessment |
| Removal of late penalty | Your late penalty will be removed |
| Substitute assessment task | A new assessment task will be organised by your Subject Coordinator |
| Resubmission of the original assessment task | You will be allowed to rework and resubmit the assessment task |
| Reweight of assessment task | The assessment component will be waived and other assessments in the subject will be reweighted |
| Deferred examination (SPE) | You will be allowed to sit an exam in the next Supplementary Hurdle/Special Examination period |
| A one-off arrangement | This is only available for workplace-based subjects or a clinical or teaching practicum |
