Graduation eligibility

How do I know if I am eligible to graduate?

If you are eligible to graduate, we will send a graduation invitation to your La Trobe student email (or personal email if your account has been deactivated) around five weeks before the ceremony period.

To be eligible to graduate and receive the invite, you will first be marked as 'potentially complete' from your course in StudentOnLine. You will receive an invite when the ceremonies are confirmed (approximately five weeks before your allocated ceremony date).

If you completed your course but did not receive an invitation, please contact ASK La Trobe with your:

full name
student ID number
name of the course/s you completed

Please also make sure that you clear all fees and debts with the University before you register to graduate. Any outstanding fees or debts will result in a fee sanction that will prevent you from graduating (both in person or in absentia).

To check if you have outstanding fees or debts, view your Statement of Account. To check if you have any sanctions, login to StudentOnLine, go to the My Details tile, then select Sanctions from the left-hand menu.
