Fee sanctions

What does it mean if I have a sanction on my account?

Sanctions are applied when fees are overdue. A sanction may restrict your access to StudentOnLine, enrolment, results, transcripts, the Learning Management System (LMS), student email and ability to graduate. Unpaid fees or library fines are the most common reason for sanctions.

To clear your sanction:

You can pay any outstanding amount through the payment portal linked at the top of the page when you click the ‘My Finances’ tile in StudentOnLine

This page shows all your fees and indicates if there are any that are overdue. The ‘View’ button on the right-hand side gives you more information about that fee.

If your sanction is due to an Overdue or unpaid Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) from your current study period, you may also have the option of deferring your SSAF, if eligible and within the time limit for this, to clear that type of sanction.

Sanctions are lifted automatically when all overdue fees are paid. OneStop and BPay payments normally take 3-5 business days to be processed, while International bank transfers take 8-10 business days to process.

If you have a fee sanction and you don't know why, please contact ASK La Trobe
